We had a dry day today. It was short-sleeve t-shirt weather.

We will suffer through this so that you-all don't have to.

So, who has the right to send troops to chase down terrorists located in "safe havens" in other countries?

Kind of thought provoking ...

That Time of the Year AGAIN ...

Since the landlord replaced the stove with one that doesn't burn everything to a crisp (that was with the oven set to less than 190F for 15 minutes) ... We can now BAKE!

It's time to attempt making the annual fruitcake ...

No Ahnah I won't make it without nuts.

No I won't make it without the "fruits".

It will be a fruit & nut mix with just enough cake batter

to hold it all together.

Corned Beef

I've lived to the age where I have a light gray beard ...

And never until now did I realize that after you remove the bottom off the corned beef can ... and removed the corned beef down to the top of the remaining portion of can ... that the piece of can you removed from the bottom can be used as a lid. Because of the key removing that little strip of metal, the bottom will slide down over the rest of the can as a lid.

Amazing!
