Back to hobbies ... and Life

Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

2 Air Shows

My neighbor called and said their's an expo at the airport only 10 miles away, would I like to go see airplanes?  Sure!  And then, while walking the dogs, I read in an advertiser that there was also an airshow at another airport only about 15 miles away.  So we managed to visit both of them!!  :)

My neighbor watching aerial exhibitions at an air show.

This is an Xtra 300L a speedy sensitive aircraft.
The owner hadn't flown it in awhile, so he flew to an airport about 30 miles away and did 4 touch-n-go landings before flying it to the expo.  On his landing he was kind of touching back and forth on the wheels to get a feel for the runway.  He landed safe and smooth.

Some pilots just can't help painting their aircraft in the colors of their favorite college football team ... orange, blue, and white ... "War Eagle!"

There were 5 of these pitt specials at the first air show.
Beautiful aircraft, well cared for, and fully aerobatic.

The passenger has to be strapped in so they don't all out ...
when the aircraft inverts.

The other air show had a greater variety of aircraft.

My neighbor really liked this "Fly Baby"

Deep Fried Oreos, Snickers, and Brownies.
There was junk food and mouth-watering delicious food.
Something for everyone.

Even a hot air balloon demo.

A lovely Dragon Fly ... while my neighbor was mooning over a Mooney

A Mooney -- Just like the one he used to own.

I came away with a great little sunburn ... darker on the left side of my face and neck.  We had to head out and get home in time to eat snacks and watch the college football games on the TV in the workshop.
