Back to hobbies ... and Life

Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

Flowers for the Day

Besides doing the basic work ... seeing clients ...
Took the wife grocery shopping.
Then off to the cemetery to put flowers on her parents' grave

I know, they look kinda "Fall-ish"
We've had them for awhile ...
Just hadn't gotten to the cemetery.

Junk is diminishing around the trailer.
Got most of the siding cleaned up and about ready to go.
And started raking up the flotsam and jetsam left from deconstruction.

Oh Dreary Rain

This was one of those days best spent indoors.
Even though it was mostly spent on doing paperwork.
Ugh!  to both of them ...

Have to wade through water just to get off the steps.

That's the drive -- just water rolling downhill.
The outdoor table blown over, etc.

Daily Tasks

After walking the dogs ... needed to take the wife shopping.  We started at a swap meet.  Then a stop at Burger King for brunch.  Then to the mall ... several stores later we had a present and a card for Karen's birthday.  Eventually back home.  A hike out into the cow pasture to splash up some water.  A little TV time.
Wet leaves, dead tomatoes, and the rosemary plant.

Then a call from a client's mother.  That blew several hours.  And the wife called asking me to pick up some apples and bananas on the way home.

missed the art association show opening.

Water Vapor

It rained like crazy yesterday ... along with a very cold wind that blew it eastward.  Finally the last of the storm chugged out of our area around 9 p.m.  I didn't rush outside right then with the dogs, because there were big standing puddles of water, and water streaming.  After an hour of draining off, I then took them for a walk.  In the beam of my flashlight, I could still see more water vapor.  It wasn't falling down like rain, nor just there light mist or fog, but seemed to be floating around on the breeze.  Snow?  But nothing big enough to really see.  It wasn't cold enough to survive (so it had to be coming from high up where it was way colder).  And it didn't last long ... not even long enough for fantasy and delight to set in.  But it was there.

Cleaning up

In between rain days, yesterday morning I unrolled the aluminum trailer top and removed several pounds of green putty.  Then I folded it up into a rectangle that I could easily carry.  Did the same with the bottom metal pan after I cleared off the last of the wooden flooring parts.  Now I just have to remove staples from the siding pieces and I can take them all to sell for scrap.
Just waiting for a warm dry day to sand and spray paint (Rustoleum) the trailer frame.  Then a little raking to clear up any scrap pieces laying around.  Level the trailer frame and I'll be ready to get started on the rebuild ... shouldn't take more than another year or so.  (maybe less - depends on time, effort, and money)

And as a thought for the day ...
