Back to hobbies ... and Life

Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

In Morning Light

There are things that you first really notice in morning light ...

It is strange to see a chunk of power-pole just hanging up there in the air.

By all accounts, it looks like a big commercial truck was going through town A LOT faster than 25 mph, maybe briefly fell asleep, slammed through the power-pole, on the wrong side of the road, took out the curve sign, left wheel marks from his trailer, and maybe disappeared down the hill and out of town (notice the direction of the debris pattern) ... no sign of a truck anywhere around (maybe it was towed away in the night?).  Besides citations, there'd be damages to pay for, and repairs to truck + trailer.  That would just turn my insides all mushy ... I'd sure hate to be that driver.

Postscript: By late this afternoon, the damage was all gone.
A new utility pole and new road directional signs are all in place .
The only remnants - tire tracks in the grass ...
