My driver license actually expires tomorrow ... but state offices are NOT open on Saturdays. So I had to walk the dogs, get in a bit of exercise, shower and head off to the medical office to get my physical for my driver license. After passing the physical ... then it was off to DMV to wait & wait and finally chat with the people there about renewing my license. I waived the boat operator license, kept the motorcycle license (just for grins), got my picture taken and paid the fee. Total cost to get my license $108.50.
Now one of us can keep driving ... and we don't have to completely resort to only using bicycles.
Still hobbling around with a cane and the back is bothering me today ... probably too much time in front of the computer. :)
Back to hobbies ... and Life
Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

Pictures from OUCH! day
See that path my landlord cut through with his tractor and bushhog?
I was clearing out all the trees and weed growth stuff
like that stuff on the immediate left of the this photo.
The wooden box thing is the compost pile.
The next photo takes you in closer to the site.
That's an oil drain pan.
No I didn't walk up closer, I used the telephoto lens.
There is the swing blade ...
I have yet to go and retrieve it.
I think I'll wear steel-toed boots and bulky thick clothing ...
all over ...
and carry a can of hornet killer spray
when I go to get that tool of my neighbor's.

Sunday Nap
Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week.
Come home from church, walk the dogs, eat lunch, and take 2-3 hour nap. I can't do yardwork, or work in the shop, or fix something ... in keeping with the Sabbath day, so I take a lovely nap. It's kinda nice.

Dripping Sweat!
Walked the dogs 1-1/4 miles this morning, then borrowed my neighbor's electric lawnmower to trim a few things. Around 9:00 a.m. my wife called me in, fed me breakfast (oatmeal & raisins), and told me to take a shower ... and be sure to hang my clothes up where they wouldn't drip on the floor (they were soaked).
I had to drive her to the church by 10:00 a.m. so she could practice playing the music for a group of girls who are supposed to sing in church tomorrow. Did I mention that the other day, the VA doctor told her that she would NOT be getting her drivers license back and driving anytime soon. Not until she got her blood pressure and sugar levels back down to normal. She blew a "raspberry" at him and smiled. Anyway, while she was going to practice in the Women's (R.S.) room ... I went into the chapel and stumbled my way through a few songs on that piano. The girls never showed.
Then a visit to a friend that we haven't seen in awhile.
Back home for lunch. Putz around. Walk the dogs a couple more times. Send a couple of emails. Then off to the Bishop's home for "Pioneer Day" activities and FOOD! We stuck it out for a couple of hours, hiked half a mile back to the cars, and went home to sit in air conditioning once more. Aahhh.

The Last Remaining of 7 Siblings
They are the last two remaining.
The youngest, and the 3rd oldest.
I called, but got the answering machine ...
I have no idea what the story is behind the black eye.
