Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

Old Time Tools
How many of these can you name and tell what they were used for??
Modern laundry equipment ... keep little hands out of the wringer
Can you name any of these??
What are all the little knobs for?
Are you ancient if you once had to use one of these?
ok from 1st photo i picked out: black kettle for cooking &/or washing. wash tub and board, bell, sewing machine, wheelchair, belows, breadbox, stove, butter churn, china hutch or clothes press/cabinet, crutches, scoops, rolling pin, dutch oven, punch bowl with spigot, iron, pans, kettles, anvil, rocking chair, thermometer, $, etc.
2nd pic. is i think the 1st automated washing machine. 3rd pic has scyth, ice hooks (used for picking up ice or drag logs) drills, pliers, tongs, and i think a wood splitter 4th pic the knobs are for rope (aka your box spring) to support your hay/feather mattress. 5th pic is of course what all your siblings and oldest child (me) remember as the original push lawnmower
OOOOOOOOooooooo, is it a store or a museum? If it's a store, I'd be in heaven. The variety of beautiful old things in the first picture is fantastic. The second picture is totally a "washing machine" though the machine part is yourself. The second is quite a variety of farm tools and it looks like there may be a few blacksmithing related ones - which you'd need on a farm to shoe your horses. Third, the knobs are for the rope, as previously mentioned by my dear cousin, and then of course the lawn mower that reminds me of one we once had but it didn't have a wooden handle and I remember Seth using. What treasures!!
the knobs on the bed are for weaving rope to hold the mattress. Back in the old days they didn't have 'box springs' to support the mattress. They used rope which would be threaded back and forth to hold up the mattress. Nice shots.

personally I love modern technology..old stuff is cute but I don't want to have to use it !!! I am whimpy like that !!
