Back to hobbies ... and Life

Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

Cake Auction

Last Friday evening we attended a cake auction ... the objective was to fund Scout camp & Young Womens camp for the youth.  There were a lot of interesting cakes.  The one that sold for the most looked like a 3-dimensional Apache Longbow helicopter. (They used stiffened licorice sticks for the rotor blades.)  HOWEVER, I did not take a picture of it.

This is the one that my wife made the winning bid on.
Old McDonald's Farm.
The fencing is pretzels, the cupcakes and ground cake were chocolate.
The barn is red licorice, cereal shingles, and yellow cake.
I have no idea what the pond water was made of.
No, we did NOT eat the whole thing!
A little boy helped with the cupcakes ...
and a bunch of it finally went into the trash yesterday.
