Back to hobbies ... and Life

Finally got a decent photo of our black pug. He's a beut! He has to think about things alot before dealing with them. He has to sniff and sniff and sniff on a spot and think about what it all means. While the boston terrier would just take a quick sniff and head out looking for things to eat or things to chase. The collar he wears has lots of spikes on it ... just to keep Sheba from chewing on it or using it to pull him around.

More Walk Fotos

Down around the pond ...
I haven't been fishing in here lately ...

The frost and light on these weeds was just spectacular!

Presley heard something in the woods ...

The waterfall was lovely ...

I saw a tortoise shell in the leaves in the woods ...

This tree looked interesting ... what can I say?
I'm easily amused ...

An interesting section of clay bank along a creek drainage area.

We have lots of Robins here at this time ...

Walk Thru the Woods

Presley and I took a walk down thru the woods to the creek.
It was such a beautiful morning stroll.
Good thing I wore long pants and boots ...
There are berry bushes and vines that hook and snag your legs.
There are muddy places and underbrush.
It was lovely and we really enjoyed the creek area.

The creek was burbling here ...
Go down to the bottom to play the short video to hear the creek.

Fungus growing on a tree,

A lovely little waterfall.
About 4 ft. tall.

Is that something interesting to chew on???

Heading uphill from the creek

Presley and the cows carefully consider each other ...
I advised him to not go any closer ...

Watching Me

I was taking a foto of a bicycle ...
He came to see what I was doing ...
solicit a few ear scratches
and a tummy rub
if he could get me to do so .

Spectator Sport

Presley thought checking the garden was a spectator sport ...
until I turn the camera on him ...

He definitely didn't see any treats.
"Get that thing out of my face ..."
And when I flipped up the flash unit
he hopped off the porch and headed into the bushes.

Sleeping In Our Driveway

Hey⁄! I don't care if you ARE planning on leaving ...
don't bother me ... I'm sleeping ...

Occasional light rain showers all day.
Visited with Homer, Rachel, Peggy, and Diane.

Presley

No cats have come around lately to eat ...
It might have something to do with our neighbor's dog, Presley,
deciding that our house was a nice place to relax.

How about rubbing my tummy?

Well, are you going to rub me or not?

Ah, phooey. Take your camera and go away.

The Day After

There is the mystery of life
and the let-down after Thanksgiving.
No "Black Friday" here ... just rain.

That little plate is where the cat food normally goes ...
Of course, Presley thinks it is a great place to go for a snack.

The cat is on top the pile of boxes right next to me.
While Presley looks up hopeful of a treat ...
And he and the cat trade growls with each other.

Yesterday we sat outdoors with the neighbor's extended family
to eat Thanksgiving dinner.
It was a really pleasant sunny afternoon.
This morning we got up to rainy drizzle ... for the next few days.
My wife baked a turkey on Wednesday ... it's still in the frig -
We haven't touched it. We also have half a pan of cold pizza ...
In case anyone is up to eating more. I think we will go with a hot cup of Pero or maybe some Peppermint/Rooibos herb tea and grits for breakfast.

Darn Dog!

Our landlord has this mutt puppy as an outside dog ... it's friendly as all get out ... and if you step outside ... "POOF!" he's there and looking for attention ... pet me, scratch my ears, rub my belly ...
Chews on whatever. And occasionally digs ... well, the darn dog went right to the root of the matter and dug up the root of the watermelon vine. We didn't discover it until it was too late to rescue the plant. And the sow bugs got the one-and-only small watermelon. His name is "Presley."
